MULTIDIMENSIONAL WORK
ARTIST STATEMENT REGARDING MULTIDIMENSIONAL WORK
Layering several photographs that have been printed on a transparent medium, I have registered and spaced them apart from one another in light boxes (alternatively, I have used several layers of transparent support materials such as acrylic or glass without employing the LED backlighting) to create a luminous, multi-dimensional, and dynamic study of the selected elements. In doing so, I attempt to enhance reflection with regard to both time and space. These "building blocks" form a kinetic scene as one walks from side to side in front of each piece. I have selected photographs from a variety of moments and/or places . The ability to look beyond the surface, peering into the depths of the total image, conveys a narrative of time passing and possibilities one might imagine.
